The five assistance levels make it easy to adapt the motor support to the ride, from calm city traffic to more demanding surfaces. The speed limiter can be set to 25 km/h, while the bike's technical maximum speed is stated at up to 40 km/h after unlocking. Bear in mind that regulations regarding power, speed and use on public roads vary depending on classification and intended use.

48V battery with up to 65 km range.

For longer everyday rides, the battery is a key part of an electric bike, and the VARUN S20-2 Pro is equipped with a removable 48V 13Ah lithium-ion battery. The stated range is up to 65 km, giving a good margin for commuting, errands and longer leisure rides. Actual range is naturally affected by assistance level, speed, temperature, terrain and rider weight. The battery can be removed from the bike for indoor charging even if the electric bike itself is in the garage or a storage room. A full charge takes approximately 4–6 hours, making it easy to charge the battery between daytime or overnight rides.

Fatbike tyres give grip on varied surfaces.

The wide 20 x 4.0-inch air-filled off-road tyres make the VARUN S20-2 Pro an electric bike that feels at home on considerably more than smooth tarmac. The large contact area helps create stability and grip on, for example, gravel roads, uneven trails and looser surfaces. The tyres also help absorb minor vibrations and bumps before they reach the rider. On smoother roads the front fork can be locked for a firmer feel and more efficient power transfer, and can be opened again when the surface becomes more demanding. The dual suspension works especially well with the wide fatbike tyres and makes longer rides more comfortable when the road switches between tarmac, gravel and easier terrain.

Shimano 7-speed system for flexible riding.

A Shimano 7-speed drivetrain gives the VARUN S20-2 Pro a wide range of application even when you want to adjust pedal resistance manually. Electric scooter
An electric scooter is considered a bicycle if it has a maximum speed of 20 km/h and a motor with a maximum of 250 W. However, it is important to note that the limit applies to the continuous (nominal) power – which means that the electric scooter may temporarily have a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W.

If the electric scooter exceeds 20 km/h in speed or has a motor with a nominal power of more than 250 W, other rules apply. The next classification is Moped class II and then Moped class IThere are technical requirements, such as braking systems, that must be met for an electric scooter to be classified as a moped.

Essentially, if it reaches up to 25 km/h it is considered Moped class II, while if the speed exceeds 40 km/h and the motor is stronger than 250 W, it is classified as Moped class I. For Moped class I, an AM driving license is required, the vehicle must be registered, and a helmet must be worn. Moped class II requires a driver's license and mandatory use of a helmet. If the electric scooter does not meet the requirements for a bicycle, Moped class I or II, it may not to be used on public roads.

Electric bike
For the requirements to apply to an electric bicycle, the motor must be limited to 250 W nominal (continuous) power and only assist pedaling up to 25 km/hThis means that the engine can temporarily deliver a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W. The electric bike must also be pedaled for the motor to work – it must not be able to drive on its own without the user's pedaling power.

Deviation from these requirements results in the vehicle being classified as moped, which entails other technical requirements, registration requirements, driving license and insurance.

We strongly recommend the use of a helmet, especially if the driver is under 15 years old, although it is not mandatory.
