Smart Coil Lock Pro

The Smart Coil Lock Pro is a compact, rugged folding bike lock that provides practical theft protection for mountain bikes, road bikes, e-bikes and other common bicycle models. The folding design consists of 26 interlinked lock segments and extends to about 78 cm, giving enough reach to secure the bike frame and wheel to a bike rack, post or fence, for example.

The lock segments are made from alloy steel with a protective ABS plastic surface. The outer hardness is rated at HRC45, while the inner hardness is around HRC10–HRC25. The construction is designed to offer better resistance to cutting, drilling, prying and impact than simpler cable locks. The lock body combines zinc alloy, alloy steel and hard-wearing plastic materials for a balanced mix of security, durability and low weight.

When not in use, the lock folds down to just about 7.5 × 6.6 × 5.5 cm and fits into the included frame holder. The holder can be mounted on the bike's frame or seatpost using the supplied screws or the non-slip straps. This makes the lock easy to carry without taking up space in a bag or hanging loose during your ride.

The specially designed lock cylinder works together with the three included keys. To lock it, the key is removed so the lock core rises, and it is then pressed down when the lock is closed. The orange end link makes it easy to find the lock's connection point even in low light.

Electric scooter
An electric scooter is considered a bicycle if it has a maximum speed of 20 km/h and a motor with a maximum of 250 W. However, it is important to note that the limit applies to the continuous (nominal) power – which means that the electric scooter may temporarily have a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W.

If the electric scooter exceeds 20 km/h in speed or has a motor with a nominal power of more than 250 W, other rules apply. The next classification is Moped class II and then Moped class IThere are technical requirements, such as braking systems, that must be met for an electric scooter to be classified as a moped.

Essentially, if it reaches up to 25 km/h it is considered Moped class II, while if the speed exceeds 40 km/h and the motor is stronger than 250 W, it is classified as Moped class I. For Moped class I, an AM driving license is required, the vehicle must be registered, and a helmet must be worn. Moped class II requires a driver's license and mandatory use of a helmet. If the electric scooter does not meet the requirements for a bicycle, Moped class I or II, it may not to be used on public roads.

Electric bike
For the requirements to apply to an electric bicycle, the motor must be limited to 250 W nominal (continuous) power and only assist pedaling up to 25 km/hThis means that the engine can temporarily deliver a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W. The electric bike must also be pedaled for the motor to work – it must not be able to drive on its own without the user's pedaling power.

Deviation from these requirements results in the vehicle being classified as moped, which entails other technical requirements, registration requirements, driving license and insurance.

We strongly recommend the use of a helmet, especially if the driver is under 15 years old, although it is not mandatory.
