Product description

iScooter W8 – The ultimate electric scooter for city & terrain.

The iScooter W8 is the next-generation electric scooter from the renowned iScooter brand, known worldwide for combining high quality with affordable prices. With improvements such as a stronger motor, longer range and more advanced shock absorbers, the W8 takes your trips to a whole new level compared to its predecessor, the W7. It's created for the discerning user who wants a powerful, versatile electric scooter for both city and terrain.

Higher speed & stronger motor.

With a top speed of 40 km/h, the iScooter W8 is faster than the W7 model and lets you travel with greater efficiency. The scooter comes with a speed limit set to 25 km/h to comply with EU safety regulations, but this limit can easily be removed by holding down the brake lever and quickly pressing the start button five times. With a powerful 500W motor, the W8 gets strong acceleration and even handles light inclines of up to 15° with ease, perfect for city riding and slightly more demanding surfaces.

Four flexible riding modes for varied needs.

The W8 offers four different riding modes, adapted to different riding styles and needs. Walk Mode provides a comfortable top speed of 10 km/h, optimal for areas with lots of pedestrians. ECO Mode is set to 20 km/h, maximizing battery efficiency and ideal for longer commutes. D Mode lets you ride up to 30 km/h, and for maximum performance, S Mode has a top speed of 40 km/h, for anyone seeking a fast, powerful ride.

Improved range & battery capacity.

With a more powerful 48V 10.4Ah battery, the W8 delivers an impressive range of up to 40 km per charge – 10 km more than the W7. This improved battery capacity makes the W8 ideal for long commutes and longer excursions without having to charge often. Charging time is about 5–6 hours, making it easy to charge the scooter overnight or during the workday.

Advanced, shock-resistant suspension.

The iScooter W8 is designed to offer maximum comfort, even on uneven surfaces. With new, advanced shock absorbers both front and rear, the W8 can handle off-road riding and bumps from uneven roads in a revolutionary way. Together with the larger 9.3-inch off-road tires, the shock absorbers deliver a stable, smooth ride on any surface.

Safety & stability in focus.

To guarantee safe riding, the W8 is equipped with both E-ABS and disc brakes that provide reliable braking power. In addition, the W8 has a turn signal system that improves safety in city traffic, since other road users can clearly see your intentions. The lighting includes both front and rear lights as well as ambient light for better visibility on evening rides.

Robust construction & easy transport.

The W8 is built with a robust frame and handles a maximum weight of up to 120 kg, giving it an edge over the W7. With an IP54 rating, it's resistant to water splashes and dust, perfect for varied weather. The folding mechanism makes it easy to fold the W8 and take it on public transport, store it in the car or carry it indoors. Despite its robust construction, the W8 is easy to handle and transport.

App compatibility.

This electric scooter is compatible with an app that enhances your riding experience by giving you greater control and overview. Using the app, you can easily manage and customize various settings to suit your needs. The app also serves as a handy tool for a smooth, convenient user experience. It's available for download on App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.

Summary.

The iScooter W8 is an improved version of the W7, with higher speed, longer range, a stronger motor and advanced shock absorbers. It's perfect for anyone looking for an electric scooter that can handle both city streets and the challenges of the terrain, while offering a high level of comfort and reliable safety. With a sleek, durable design, the W8 is the obvious choice for commuters and adventurers alike.

Laws & rules

Electric scooter
An electric scooter is considered a bicycle if it has a maximum speed of 20 km/h and a motor with a maximum of 250 W. However, it is important to note that the limit applies to the continuous (nominal) power – which means that the electric scooter may temporarily have a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W.

If the electric scooter exceeds 20 km/h in speed or has a motor with a nominal power of more than 250 W, other rules apply. The next classification is Moped class II and then Moped class IThere are technical requirements, such as braking systems, that must be met for an electric scooter to be classified as a moped.

Essentially, if it reaches up to 25 km/h it is considered Moped class II, while if the speed exceeds 40 km/h and the motor is stronger than 250 W, it is classified as Moped class I. For Moped class I, an AM driving license is required, the vehicle must be registered, and a helmet must be worn. Moped class II requires a driver's license and mandatory use of a helmet. If the electric scooter does not meet the requirements for a bicycle, Moped class I or II, it may not to be used on public roads.

Electric bike
For the requirements to apply to an electric bicycle, the motor must be limited to 250 W nominal (continuous) power and only assist pedaling up to 25 km/hThis means that the engine can temporarily deliver a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W. The electric bike must also be pedaled for the motor to work – it must not be able to drive on its own without the user's pedaling power.

Deviation from these requirements results in the vehicle being classified as moped, which entails other technical requirements, registration requirements, driving license and insurance.

We strongly recommend the use of a helmet, especially if the driver is under 15 years old, although it is not mandatory.
