Electric scooter
An electric scooter is considered a bicycle if it has a maximum speed of 20 km/h and a motor with a maximum of 250 W. However, it is important to note that the limit applies to the continuous (nominal) power – which means that the electric scooter may temporarily have a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W.
If the electric scooter exceeds 20 km/h in speed or has a motor with a nominal power of more than 250 W, other rules apply. The next classification is Moped class II and then Moped class IThere are technical requirements, such as braking systems, that must be met for an electric scooter to be classified as a moped.
Essentially, if it reaches up to 25 km/h it is considered Moped class II, while if the speed exceeds 40 km/h and the motor is stronger than 250 W, it is classified as Moped class I. For Moped class I, an AM driving license is required, the vehicle must be registered, and a helmet must be worn. Moped class II requires a driver's license and mandatory use of a helmet. If the electric scooter does not meet the requirements for a bicycle, Moped class I or II, it may not to be used on public roads.
Electric bike
For the requirements to apply to an electric bicycle, the motor must be limited to 250 W nominal (continuous) power and only assist pedaling up to 25 km/hThis means that the engine can temporarily deliver a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W. The electric bike must also be pedaled for the motor to work – it must not be able to drive on its own without the user's pedaling power.
Deviation from these requirements results in the vehicle being classified as moped, which entails other technical requirements, registration requirements, driving license and insurance.
We strongly recommend the use of a helmet, especially if the driver is under 15 years old, although it is not mandatory.
Read our blog posts for more information about the rules that apply to electric scooters and electric bicycles.

The suspension makes the ride comfortable even on rough roads and the build quality feels solid throughout. The battery is good for longer trips and I don't have to charge all the time, which is a big plus in everyday life.
In summary, a very well-built and powerful electric scooter that combines performance and comfort in a really good way. Very happy with the purchase.
The build quality feels solid and the scooter inspires confidence throughout. The battery is good enough for everyday driving and longer trips, although the range may decrease if you drive hard all the time.
Loses a star because it is quite heavy and not the easiest to carry or take with you, but if you prioritize power and stability, this is a really good choice.
